hi stephen
i found that my IE is working fine
when i enables the auto detection mode how come it's possible

for my IE to detect my PAC, if it is not in the primary DNS suffix of
my system actually my PAC file is in http://wpad/wpad.dat
please help me

My understanding is that IE's PAC URL auto-detection tries some "non-WPAD
standard" tricks that WinHttp does not to find the wpad server. When using
DNS queries, WinHttp will not look outside of the primary DNS suffix for the
wpad server. The suggestion I made earlier to specify "http://wpad/wpad.dat"
as the AutoConfigUrl (if WinHttpGetIEProxyConfigForCurrentUser does not
report one) should help. But if the wpad server is accessible only via a
FQDN that is not in the primary DNS suffix, then WinHttp will not find it.
